Hi, my name is Sheena Horob and I am a family, child, newborn and maternity photographer in Bismarck/Mandan and the surrounding areas in North Dakota. I am the owner, photographer and editor for Six Eleven Photography.

 

I am also a wife to an amazing husband now of over 12 years and a mommy to two incredible kids! I have one of each... best of both worlds... my son Bowen and my daughter Blakely. They are the best things on earth and I am so lucky to have them!

I love the outdoors... being from Colorado originally, nature is a huge part of me. One of my favorite sayings is, "The mountains are calling, and I must go." Its great having a husband that is also in love with the outdoors. And its fun to watch our children grow to love it as well.

I have always loved pictures... I always had a camera on me in high school and college. But until I moved to ND in 2007, I didn't realize the passion I had for it. It started out of boredom and now is my LIFE. It is more than just having a nice camera and pushing a button. Its being creative... patient... investing in education and studio equipment and props.... building relationships and bonds with clients that after the years become close friends. The best feeling is photographing a newborn. Then 2 years later, photographing their new sibling... then another year later photographing their newest sibling. You just cant beat seeing families year after year after year.

How long have I been doing this? about 10 years or so

Where did I get the name Six Eleven from? it is our wedding date June 11, 2011 (6-11-11)

Six Eleven took second place in 2020 for The Bismarck Tribunes "BEST of the Best", first place in the 2019 contest and  2nd place in 2018.  I'm super proud of that.
